Paul "Danny" Danton Shoots Jr

We lost Paul on October 24, 2019.  He passed away suddenly,surrounded by his family in his last moments. He was born on December 10, 1941 to Mary Virginia Toomey and Paul Danton Shoots Sr. The second in the line of six kids.After graduating high school he spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps as a mechanic.  Married his wife Dawn Lynne Adamsand settled in Victor, NY.  Spent the majority of his life working as a mason.  He built two homes of his own...one in his 20's and the second most recently in his 70's.  He moved the family to Penn Yanand became a "hobby farmer" in the late 70's.  He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son and friend.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dawn; six children, Michael (Lois) Shoots, Donna (Gary) Bailey, Daniel Shoots, David (Lisa) Shoots, Stephen (Jenn) Shoots and Jeffrey (Susan) Shoots; fourteen Grandchildren, Michael and Marshall Shoots, Kenneth and Daniel Ledgerwood, Justin Shoots, Cassie and Amanda Shoots, Ian and Hayden Shoots, Nicholas and Katie Shoots, Audrey, Aiden, Colin Quinn.  Paul also is survived by his five siblings, Eileen Gippe, Ginny Rice, Dorothy Toomey, James (Phyllis) Shoots, Jeanne (Tom) Yonker.  He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Paul belonged to the American Legion in Canandaigua, the Moose Lodge in Penn Yan and the NY Masons Union. His love for camping and fishing has taken him to the North Frontenac area of Canada for the past 38 years.  Although he didn't mind the NY winters, he looked forward to spring every year to plan and plant his incredible gardens.   A memorial service will be held November 9, 11am-2pm at the Yatesville Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Canandaigua American Legion on November 10, from 11am - 2pm.In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
