Katherine Kuhns

Katherine E. Kuhns, (Katheleen E. Coons) was born August 14, 1940. She passed away peacefully March 13, 2021 at the Livingston Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, N.Y. She was 80 years old.

She is survived by her two daughters Tamara J. Wise (David Wise) of Nunda, NY and Laurie S. Carlin of Fillmore, NY. As well as 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Michael G. Hanley, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Katherine loved crocheting, knitting and quilting. She enjoyed socializing with the other residents and staff of the nursing home at gatherings, such as playing bingo as well as arts and crafts night. She even started a knitting/crochet group. She also enjoyed spending whatever time she could with her family. She was very proud of her Native American lineage. Before she went into the nursing home, she went to church almost weekly. Afterwards, she would read her Bible daily and listen to her Christian tapes.

There will be a celebration of life on August 14, 2021 at the Al Lorenz Park in Mt. Morris
