Kevin Childers

On April 19, 2026, Kevin passed away after a yearlong battle with cancer, at age 54. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Carol (Randolph) and Jim Childers; brother Duanne Childers; and sister Dianne Childers.

Kevin is survived by his sister Linda Parker of Campbell, NY; brother Eric Childers of Tully, NY; nieces Crystel Ruta, Jessica Adams and Amanda Parker; and nephew James Parker.

Kevin earned his Associates Degree from Corning Community College in 1991 and continued on to earn his Bachelors Degree in 1994 from SUNY Cortland. Kevin then worked for over 20 years at Akoustis Technologies in Canandaigua, NY. He was an avid fan of old-time radio broadcasts and classic television comedy sitcoms. Kevin was a history buff and frequented his local library to research different events. He also loved the folklore and history of Canandaigua, NY and the Finger Lakes.

The family would also like to express a thank you to Kevin's coworkers at Akoustis in Canandaigua. He always spoke highly of them and considered them a second family.

Kevin will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Per his wishes, no services will be held. Any donations can be made to a local public library in his name.
