Lillian Clarabelle Cane

Lillian Clarabelle Cane, 91 of Mt. Morris died on Dec. 19 at 8:15 pm at the Livingston County Nursing Home. Lillian, one of 16 children was born Sept. 9, 1928 in Dryden, NY to David and Ruth Lewis. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Cane (Martin) who passed away in 1989.

Lillian was a long time resident of Franklin, NJ where she raised her children before moving to New York State. She leaves behind five children, Frederick Bartholomew of Atlanta, NY, Esther Perlman of Ider, AL, Martin (Pam) Cane  of  Brooksville, FL, Dwayne Cane of Caledonia, NY and Janet (Jamie) Markousis-Lawrence  of Caledonia NY as well as 12 grandchildren Maria, Vasilios, Tracy, Martin, Tara, James, Christine, Donna, Eric, Frederick, Aaron and Glen as well as 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grand children. She is also survived by three brothers and four sisters.

Lillian was an avid nature lover, loved gardening was a fantastic cook and a perfectionist in all she did; as well as a wonderfully smart and witty woman. She will be greatly missed by all whom knew her.

A private memorial will be held where she will be set beside her husband in North Church Cemetery Hardyston, NJ later in the spring.
