Lynch, Joseph C.
Age 84, of Liberty & Rochester, NY and Vero Beach, FL; died suddenly on July 4, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. He was surrounded by his family.
He was born April 11, 1935 in Buffalo, New York to Albert And Carol Lynch.
Joe, who liked to refer to himself as the Great American Treasure, had an exceptional love for family and life. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many wonderful friends who shared the same passion. He also had an unquenchable desire to shop, whether it be SAMs, Coach or Habitat, he was always looking for “something you might need”.
During his lifetime he enjoyed a career as BCI investigator, New York State Police. He belonged to many organizations including the Moose Lodge, The Brotherhood of Eagles, Boy Scouts of America, American Legion, VFW, Sioux Hunting Club, and past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler Elks Lodge 1545
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Jeremiah.
He is survived by his three sisters, Carol McSwain, Kathleen Hennessy and Mary (Gerry) Morin; two brothers John and Albert (Maggie) Lynch.
His seven children Mary (Larry) Stucki, Thomas Nichols, Susan (Henry) Pietrzak, Maureen (Daniel) Rinaldi, Joseph (Liana), Charles and James.
Nine grandchildren Michael, Patrick, Molly, Alex, Conor, Charles, Eliza, Ronan and Alden.
3 great grandchildren, Callan, Ellora and Emma.
Joe is also survived by his loving significant other of 10 years, Alice Grealy. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
At Joe’s request, there will be no funeral services. He did, however, request that we celebrate his life with a party.
In Joe’s final words, “I have had a great life with no regrets. I pushed myself to the limit.”
