Andrew Rogers Obituary

On October 1, 2025, Andrew Rogers, a faithful husband, passed away surrounded by loving friends and family.

Andrew is predeceased by his father Alva F. Rogers; brother Alva Rogers Jr.; uncles Donald Ames and Arthur Ames; aunt Shirley Ames Nelson; father-in-law Leonardo Panida; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Julita Rogers; mother Frances , aka “Cookie” Rogers; aunt Jean Ames Rymer, mother-in-law Arsenia Panida; brothers-in-law Carlito Panida, Arnulfo Panida, Rogelio Panida, Jovencio Panida, Leonardo Panida; sisters-in-law Leonora Panida, Precilla Panida, and Josphine Panida; cousins, Laurie Ames, Joanie Hollert, Dan Hollert, Nancy Ames, Debbie Ames, Jonathan (MiMi) Ames, Sherry Peacock, Brian Ames; many nieces, nephews and friends, including Andrew Loftus, Pete Wells, Woody Ransom, David Roberts, Dahda Sharkapor Ku, Steve Spring, Eliot Huffman, Larry Wilson and James Lanze, Steve Ormond, David Prietz, Esther Eliot, Denise Colquit, Daisy Wilson, Roselle Lanze, Essie Huffman, Rizzalyn Anzalone, Robin Lattimer, Asha Antolick, Sara Miller, Carla Thompson, Leilei & Cynthia Tun and families, Satu Spring, Jeanette Roberts, Charlene & Dale Roberts & family, Amy Fisher, Ethan and Denisa Noyes & family and his best friend Jim & Grace Myers & family, Theresa & family; and all of the sisters & brothers at the Ridgeway Congregation, and other congregations.

Andrew was a Jehovah's Witness who was faithful to the end of his life. He loved John Wetton's music and was a regular at the House of Guitars, Guitar Center, and many concerts.

Andrew was born in 1966; the year Star Trek debuted. He enjoyed taking care of the trees in his yard and helped friends and neighbors tend to their trees as well. He loved to cook and eat; and he was especially good at preparing lasagna, chili, and potato salad. Amongst other talents, he was famous for his lasagna which he learned to make from his mother, Cookie.

He was generous and was always eager to help others despite his disabilities and health issues. He had a great sense of humor and loved to share that sense of humor with his friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Talk on Sunday November 2, 2025 beginning at 4 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 52 Ingress Park, Rochester, NY 14606.
