Barbara Shaver

Prattsburgh: On May 4, 2018 at age 87. Barbara was born in Bath, NY on May 26th, 1930. She is predeceased by loving husband Shirley Shaver; sister Mary Eastman & brother-in-law Neil Eastman. Survived by children Pamela (Richard) Green, Douglas (Lori) Shaver, Lisa (Jim) Bailey; grandchildren Marshall (Shannon) Green, Alana (Brian) Gruss, Ethan (Lindsay) Green, Brad Shaver, Rebekah (Derek) Srygley, Jeffrey (Tawna) Bailey, Christopher (Shelby) Bailey; several great-grandchildren; special niece Susan Kaufmann & many other nieces & nephews.Barbara & Shirley were longtime owners of Red & White Grocery & Super Duper of Prattsburgh, members of the Presbyterian Church of Prattsburgh & Order of the Eastern Star. Barbara was a graduate of Prattsburgh Central School and Rochester Business Institute. Barbara worked as medical secretary for Dr. English in Naples, NY and as school secretary for George T. Farley at Prattsburgh Central School. She volunteered for many years with the Prattsburgh Historical Society & Narcissa Prentiss House.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018 beginning at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church of Prattsburgh. A reception will follow the Memorial Service. Donations in Barbara's memory may be directed to Benincasa Hospice, 3880 Rush Mendon Rd, Mendon, NY 14506.
