Daniel M. Marcello Obituary

Daniel M. Marcello, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 81.

Dan was born on January 19, 1944, in Rochester, NY. He was known for his unwavering love for his family. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to his country as an Air Force Reservist and scientific work at Kodak and Garrett Callahan companies, touching many lives with his kindness.

He married the love of his life, Joan Falvo, on November 18, 1967, and together they shared 58 beautiful years. Dan was a devoted father to his children and a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

Dan loved family gatherings, genealogy, fishing and radio, and he will be remembered for his warm smile, generosity, loyalty and gentle presence.

He is survived by his wife Joan, children Elizabeth (William) Simons, Daniel J (Janice) Marcello, grandchildren Cristian and Lauren Simons, Abigail, Juliet and Joel Marcello, sibling Joyce (William) Crandall, and preceded in death by his adored daughter Regina Anne, parents Daniel and Jennie Marcello.

A Celebration of Life for Daniel Marcello will be on August 25, 2025, at 11:00 am at Greece Assembly of God Church. All who knew him are welcome to attend and honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hematology/Oncology Department at Golisano Children’s Hospital or Veteran’s Outreach Center, 447 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.

Dan will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
