Diane Rose LaClair of Rushville, NY left here earthly home for her heavenly home on September 9, 2023 after losing her struggle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Diane was born on April 2, 1955 to Doris(Brien) and George LaClair at Brockport hospital. Diane lived her early years in Marion, NY and graduated from Marion Central High School in 1973.
Diane loved learning as evidenced by her earning degrees from Vermont College, Norwich University, North Colorado State University , Australia, and Southern Baptist University.
Diane traveled the world where she taught many children in places such as Vancouver, Colorado, Virginia, Hawaii, New York and on Mercy ships wherever they traveled to. Diane focused on teaching the visually impaired.
Although Diane loved teaching, her greatest passion was her love for her savior, Jesus Christ whom she followed fervently. Whether it was in the mission fields of Africa, Greece, Iraq, South America, the United States or in her community; Diane’s commitment to God was a testament to others.
Although Diane officially retired in 2018, she remained active in her church and continued to serve the Lord. As Diane’s disease progressed her service became that of prayer and petition.
Diane was pre-deceased by her parents George and Doris (Brien) LaClair, her brothers George (Daniel) and David LaClair, and her nephew, Matthew Loveless.
