Loving husband, father, grandfather, dedicated man to the community, died unexpectedly on Sunday July 28th, 2019 at the age of 64 while surrounded by his family. Jack is survived by his wife, Megan Amos; his children, Brian (Renee) Amos and Matthew (Liz) Amos; his grandchildren, Jackson and James Amos.Jack was from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, born March 11th, 1955. A self-made man, he pursued an education through King's College. This was where his life truly began. It was here that he was given the two joys of his life: his love and passion for the field of psychology, and Megan, his soul mate.He dedicated over thirty years of his life to the community and helping others. The field of psychology was not a job for him, but a career that enabled him to do things he loved the most. He helped others find a way to figure out their own place in the world. His love and passion for the field of psychology allowed him to be a pillar of strength for the people he served. All the while caring for the community at large, he was a devoted father. Jack was sure to be there for every game and tournament for his boys and continued that same dedication of presence as his family continued to grow. He was a pillar of strength for those around him, and his wisdom will continue to live on through the stories that will be passed down through generations to come.A celebration of his life is scheduled for 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday July 31st at Hedges Nine Mile Point Restaurant, 1290 Lake Road, Webster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's honor to something he was most passionate about: the Mental Health Association, 320 N Goodman Street, Rochester NY.
