Edward Vickery Obituary

Edward Vickery passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at his home in Attica, N.Y. 

Edward was born September 13, 1953, in Batavia, N.Y., son of the late Doris (Haight) and Robert K. Vickery. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Paula Marie (Lorigo) Vickery,and his brother Richard C. Vickery; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Salvatore and Paula Lorigo; his sisters-in-law Rose Gawron and Carol Kaiser, and his brother-in-law Robert Rosenblatt.

Edward was a former member of the Attica Presbyterian Church, where he served as Elder, and member of the Attica Lions Club for many years.

A 1971 graduate of Attica High School, Edward attended SUNY at Geneseo before starting work at Calibrated Charts in Batavia, N.Y. He then worked at Hodgkins Printing before going to work at Valu Home Center in Batavia, from where he retired in 2015.

Edward is survived by his son Robert S. (Brianna) Vickery of Honeoye Falls, NY.; sisters Sharon (David) Eaton of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Deborah (Michael) Buckenmeyer of Attica, N.Y.; brother Robert E. (Trudy) Vickery of Clifton Park, NY; grandchildren Lucas, Alyssa, Payton, and Jackson, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by brother-in-law Carl (Betty) Rosenblatt of Corning, N.Y. and sister-in-law Willa Rosenblatt of Florida. Edward will be greatly missed by all.
