Age 72, of Wellsville, NY, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, July 9th 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. The oldest of eight siblings, she was born January 13, 1947 in Hazleton, PA to Henry M. Brosky and Florence J. Rimshaw-Brosky-Zahay, both deceased. During her early life she was drawn to the spotlight of the stage. Her love for the stage shown through in her work as an instructor at Arthur Murrays Dance Studio in Allentown, PA and also in Las Vegas, where she worked on extravagant costumes for many different shows. From there, she went on to own, manage and run several restaurants, bars, and resorts. Later in life her passion for children really shown through, including her work as a foster parent. Animals were another love of hers ranging from a trio of lions to a herd of Chihuahuas.She is survived by her husband Joseph McAuley of Wellsville, NY; daughter Josey (Sean) Kelley of West Almond, NY; seven grandchildren Connor, Meara, Christina, Tristan, Asher, Silas, and Sawyer; four Sisters Darlene Altrichter of Slatington, PA, Robin Sims of Weatherly, PA, Kathy Spearman of Morganton, NC, Roseanne Frantz of Northampton, PA; two brothers Steven Brosky of Morganton, NC, and Henry Brosky Of Jim Thorpe, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by two special sons Johnny and James, and a sister Debbie Flytuda. Evelyn had a knack for easily making friends no matter where she was and developed many lasting relationships in this manner. At the convenience of the family a celebration of life will occur at later date.
