Frederick (Butch) Lux

Frederick (Butch) Lux, aged 85, of Livonia NY and formerly of North Carolina and later Florida, sailed into the sunset on March 27, 2026. Born on March 8, 1941, in Rochester NY to Lillian and Paul Lux, Fred developed a love for the water early on, growing up on Conesus Lake. He served in the US Navy from 1960-64 and then began his lifelong career at Fasco.  Fred continued to find joy on the water, spending many years of retirement living on his boat, sailing back and forth from the U.S to the Bahamas and Dominican Republic.  He was happiest on the water with the wind in his face.  "Butch" was predeceased by his parents, Lillian and Paul, and his brother, James Allyn Lux.  He is survived by his daughter Kellie Lux, sister Linda Tubbs, niece Chandra Downs (Alex Strasenburgh), nephew Travis Downs (Stacy), and great niece and nephew Caroline and Andrew.
