Gerald Hickey

On June 15, 2026, at age 79, after an 8-year battle with cancer. Gerry passed away peacefully. He is predeceased by his parents William & Marie Hickey.

He is survived by his sons Eric (Maryann) Hickey and Brian Hickey; grandsons Nathan and Ryan Hickey; and longtime companion Pat Dermody.

Gerry was a graduate of Charlotte High School and Western Kentucky University. Following graduation, he worked for Eastman Kodak until the early 90s when he retired. He was a wonderful person who enjoyed talking to people and making them smile. He also enjoyed traveling and was an animal lover.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to an animal shelter of your choice in Gerry's memory.  Private interment at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery in Churchville.
