Passed away on January 21, 2026, at age 65, due to complications after a motor vehicle accident. He is predeceased by his son Chad Bouwens; and parents Kenneth & Dorothy Bouwens.
He is survived by his longtime companion Diane Elmer; children Kenneth (Kayleigh) Bouwens, Dakota Bouwens, Whisper (Brandon) Brown; grandchildren Aubree, Eli, Jaiden, Hadley, Adelyn and Ellie; sisters Ginger (Jerry) Sullivan and Gloria Hermanet; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Greg was raised in Palmyra and was a hard worker who owned his own roofing business. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his free time. He enjoyed many friendships that lasted from childhood and he tried to keep in touch with people. He was admired for his strength both physically and mentally. He had a deep love for his family, and they will all miss him dearly.
