We are sad to announce the passing of Joan E. Fagan (Glauser), on June 7, 2024. Joan passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 2, 1937, to John and Estelle Glauser in Rochester, NY. Joan was a graduate of East High School, and Genesee Hospital School of Nursing (1958 Graduating Class). She became a Registered Nurse and spent her entire career at Genesee Hospital.
Joan married the love of her life, Bruce Fagan, on November 01, 1958. She is survived by her son Michael (wife Joan Creatura), daughter Colleen, granddaughters Emma and Elena Fagan, her brother James Glauser (Karen), sister in-law Melinda Glauser, many nieces and nephews, and her cat Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, parents, sister in-law Barbara Westcott, and brother John Glauser.
Joan dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse, a wife, mother, daughter, sister, neighbor, and friend. She loved chasing after her children, animals, traveling, the arts, and searching for relics in the Bristol Hills. But more than anything else, she loved spending time with her family and planning family vacations.
She will be remembered for her generosity and kindness to both people and animals, and how well loved she was by family and friends.
Joan donated to many causes. In remembrance of Joan, please consider a donation to Lollypop Farm or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
