Marc Pierre DeMartelaere

Marc Pierre Demartelaere, aged 70, passed away at his home in Rochester, New York on August 3rd, 2025. Born August 13th, 1954 in Brussels, Belgium, Marc immigrated to the United States as a child and spent almost his entire life in the City of Rochester, where he worked for General Railway Signal and its successor company Alstom.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolphe Demartelaere and Mariette Demartelaere née Lafraniere, as well as his brother Robert. He is survived by his two sons, Tad and Ethan Demartelaere, as well as his brothers Michael and Dennis.

While no formal memorial service is planned, the family encourages those who knew him to remember Marc and keep his memory fondly.
