RN/NP Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/ Therapist
Our Tish passed peacefully on July 25, 2025 after a long, arduous battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was 74. A 1969 graduate of Brighton HS, she received a BS in Biology from Bowling Green University Ohio before returning to Rochester to complete a BS/RN degree from the UoR. She worked at R-Wing as a psychiatric nurse for 5 years, while completing an MS degree in Nursing.
Over the years Pat was many things to many people:
Wife, Mother, lover of plants and gardening, therapist, skier, backpacker, world traveler, and bon vivant. In later years Pat had a thriving private practice as a psychiatric therapist.
In the mid 90s we travelled to Russia and spent a month each time, adopting two children, a boy from central Siberia and, two years later, a girl from St. Peterburg. A few years later we moved to our current home in Honeye Falls
Predeceased by her daughter, Emilie A. (Sasha) Fischl, and her parents, James & Esther Mallon. Pat is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Fischl, her son Julian Mallon Fischl, her brother Michael Mallon (Kimberly) as well as niece Katherine (Ben) Vick and nephew Kyle (Jessica) Mallon.
In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations to her two favorite organizations: Lollipop Farms and WXXI-TV Rochester. While it's hard to accept her passing, she lived a life of love, compassion and achievement, and we will all miss her very much.
