Purcell, Thomas F., Jr.Rochester: Tom passed away suddenly on September 7, 2017. He will be remembered for his warm smile & kind heart. He was predeceased by his mother Eileen (Nares) Purcell. He is survived by his father Thomas F. Purcell, Sr.; brother Roger (Margaret) Purcell of Albany, NY; several aunts & cousins & his long-time friend Ross Ellingwood. Tom was particularly grateful for the support & encouragement offered over the years by family friend Susan Fermer; uncle Joseph Nares & aunts Mary (La) Wilson & Ellen Carver.Tom graduated from Corning East High School and St. John Fisher College.  He worked in Rochester, NY for many years in various positions within the banking industry.  Tom lived simply. He enjoyed reading and time spent with family and friends.There will be no calling hours. Services private at the convenience of the family.
