Ronald Alvah Kendall Obituary

Ronald Alvah Kendall, 88, of Batavia, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025 at UMMC. He was born on September 25, 1937 to the late Harry and Lottie (Wohlsclagel) Kendall

Ronnie was one of a kind — known for his sharp sense of humor and his spitfire personality. He loved to joke around and had a way of making people laugh. His presence was felt immediately, and his absence will be felt just as strongly.

He loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much, and he was extremely proud of all his children and grandchildren. Some of his happiest moments were spent simply being around them, sharing stories, food, and laughter.

He had a lifelong passion for cars and spent countless hours tinkering in the garage, finding peace in working with his hands. When he wasn't there, he enjoyed quiet moments fishing, trips to the casino, and sitting outside in his lawn chair, soaking in the sunshine and fresh air. Cats held a special place in his heart and brought him comfort and companionship through the years. He also deeply loved food and never turned down a good meal, especially when it meant gathering with family and spending time together.

He will be remembered for his humor, his generosity, and the way he showed love in his own unique way. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he leaves behind will continue to bring smiles and laughter to those who loved him most.

Ronnie is survived by his wife JoAnne (Ratulowski) Kendall; children Robert (Tammy) Kendall, Patricia Kendall, Carolyn (Bruce) Reynolds and David Kendall; ten grandchildren Dustin, Dylan, Rachel, Ryan, Tyler, Emily, Joshua, Kyle, Alex and Karissa; two great granddaughters Rowan and Charlotte, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by all his siblings Ida May, Ruth, Carl, Reginald, Geraldine, Doris, Gloria, Sherwood, Larry and Elmer.
