Sharon Ruth Barber

Sharon Ruth Barber, born January 1, 1950 as the first New Years baby in Rochester, was sent to the arms of our heavenly Lord on April 22, 2025. 

She is survived by her husband Bert J. Barber, her grandchild Alex Hennessy, her brother Charles Sherman, and sister Linda Stevenson. Predeceased was her daughter Danene Hennessy. 

She was a caring and loving wife to Bert Barber for 36 years. She was gifted with a generous and loving spirit. She loved to creatively cook, garden, enjoy nature, and rescued many wonderful pets from the local shelter. She was honest and compassionate. She was also a tremendous friend to many. 

She worked for Comstock Michigan Fruit when younger and then was the chief parts buyer at O-AT-KA Milk for over 15 years.  

Please join us as we lovingly remember our dear Sharon. A celebration of life will be held on June 16, 2025 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the home of Charlie and Hazel Barber, 5490 Edgerton Rd., Elba. You may bring a dish to pass only if you wish.  

Instead of flowers, you may honor her memory with a donation to The National Kidney Foundation.
