On December 14, 2023. Born in Costa Rica and predeceased by his parents Edward & Haydee Tobin. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan Sylvia Tobin; children William Tobin Jr. (Stacy Maller), David Tobin, Gregory (Carole) Tobin, Laura Robinson (Charlie Farris), and Sandra Tobin (Manny Perez); grandchildren Ciara, Christian, Dan, Kathryn, Jeremiah, Eric & James; nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Bill was a Veteran of the US Army’s 25th Infantry Division and served in the Vietnam War. Bill was a Conductor for the New York City Transit Authority for over 25 years before retiring to Rochester in 1996. He enjoyed sports especially the Yankees, Bills and Giants. In his free time, he enjoyed working outside in the yard, especially using his snowblower in the winter. A lifelong Catholic, he served as an Usher at St. Anne Church.

Friends and family are invited to his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620, beginning at 10 AM. Interment will take place in Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu, NY at 1:00 PM.
