William Wygant Obituary

Rochester: On September 5, 2018 at age 90. Predeceased by wife of 54 years, artist Patricia Bryans Wygant. Survived by daughters Holly, Jackie (Chuck Williams), and Catherine (Dan Monroe), grand & great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and brother-in-law.He earned a BFA from Syracuse and a MA in American History from the U of R. Bill founded Arctan Graphic Arts, a local leader in computer generated graphics. He also received a Lantern Award for his many years of service to AdCouncil.Bill had a passion for non-fiction including; nautical history, archaeology, science, and religion. He loved to swim, sail and travel. Later, he became an accomplished cook and baker. He was an active member of Downtown United Presbyterian Church (Central Presbyterian) for more than 60 years.A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm, Friday, October 26, 2018 at Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 North Fitzhugh St. 14614. Park on the street or at the Sister Cities Garage, one block south of the church.
